GCDF undertakes interventions to improve Women and girls health, Social-Economic and Political Development including Sensitization on their rights particularly on the issues of inheritance and properly rights supported by the Constitution and international legislations.

- Promoting Sexual health of young people and girls including intensifying reproductive health rights awareness, sexuality education and addressing child and early marriage
- Sensitizing the communities on Child Rights and child protection related legislations.
- Creating awareness to the community on Gender Based Violence (GBV) including sexual violence and strengthening community structures for girls and women protection
- Making referrals for advanced Health care and legal redress to women who have experienced GBV.
- Conducting trainings for survivor groups of women; newly formed VSLAs and SACCOs under the emyooga program in financial literacy and economic empowerment.
- Follow up with marginalized groups including child mothers and women who are part of social enterprise groups, and linking them to UWEP, YLP, CDD, OWC, Emyooga and similar government programs for relevant support from appropriate organizations and institutions.
- Facilitating engagements with VSLAs, SACCOs, duty bearers at both district and national level on land rights. Engaging in capacity building, media, community dialogues, documentation and production of IEC materials to promote land rights and women’s economic empowerment.
- Providing psychosocial support services including counseling to women who are victims of GBV.
- Supporting community structures for child protection and enhancing advocacy on the same.
- Enhancing the capacity of the law enforcers particularly on legislations and the constitution for protection of women and girls
- Supporting initiatives to promote women and other marginalized populations’ involvement in governance and political leadership
- Provision of sanitary towels and supporting trainings for girls to make the same for sustainability.

GCDF is a Charitable Community Development Foundation founded in the year 2018 and legally registered with the relevant authorities in Uganda as Company Limited by Guarantee with no share capital and Not-For-Profit Non-Governmental Organization under the Non-Governmental Organizations Act 2016.
