Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights

Under this program, GCDF aims to enhance Sexual, Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) Awareness and the Social Economic wellbeing of children, youth and Adults in Uganda. The program targets Adolescents & Youths 12-37 years, Adults 37-55 Years, Females & Males of child bearing age with special focus on Persons living with disability

GCDF is particularly focusing on Adolescent & Youth Reproductive Health Rights, Sexuality Education, reducing school dropout rates, Maternal and Child Health and increased Family Planning uptake for adults in child bearing age through collaboration and partnerships with relevant service providers. GCDF creates awareness on maternal and child health and advocates for improved health services to reduce on maternal and child morbidity and mortality in areas of operation. Sexuality education also addresses adolescence, sexuality, gender, rights and the prevention of health risks such as HIV & AIDS, other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and unintended pregnancies. GCDF strengthens Youth Friendly Services in Sexual and Reproductive health in the Health Care system as a strategy for maternal health promotion.

GCDF also enhances community awareness and advocacy about obstetric fistula causes, treatment, mitigation and prevention; support social- reintegration of obstetric fistula women survivors through psychosocial counseling, support and economic empowerment


GCDF is a Charitable Community Development Foundation founded in the year 2018 and legally registered with the relevant authorities in Uganda as Company Limited by Guarantee with no share capital and Not-For-Profit Non-Governmental Organization under the Non-Governmental Organizations Act 2016.
